Trash receptacles will be available throughout the show grounds to dispose of animal waste and trash. Please help to maintain a clean and beautiful area.
Attire
The Handler’s attire in the ring should be conservative, neat, and appropriate for the class.
Permission to Show
All alpacas and fleeces must be entered in the name of the owner as shown on the ARI Registration Certificate. Animals being bought under contract or animals whose transfer has not yet been completed must include an AOBA “Buyers Permission to Show” form signed by the owner listed on the ARI Registration Certificate. AOBA Show rules prohibit the showing of animals with pending papers. Handlers do not need a permission to show form.
AOBA Show Division Fees
AOBA requires a $6 recording fee for every animal entered and a $6 recording fee for every fleece entered into the show. AOBA requires us to assess an additional $75 show fee for all farms that are not members of the AOBA Show Division. This fee is per farm not per animal. The show management recommends that you bring proof of your Show Division membership in the event that your records differ from those of the AOBA Show Division.
Age Divisions
Age divisions are based on the age of the alpaca on the first date of scheduled judging, November 15, 2008.
Juvenile: 6 months through 12 months
Yearling: first birthday through 24 months
Two years +: second birthday and older
Optional Halter Classes

Alpacas must be eligible and entered in the show in their respective halter class. Entry for Get of Sire and Produce of Dam may be made November 10, 2008 no later than 8:00 PM. Please inform Show Superintendent Robin Oaks of any late Get of Sire or Produce of Dam entries.
